Roopa Ganguly is a popular for playing the mythological character of Draupadi in the older version of Mahabharat, which is being re-telecast on Television. Recently, when when the TV channel aired Draupadi’ cheer haran scene in Mahabharat, the actress, remembered a real-life horrific scene which took place with her on May 22, 2016 in Diamond Harbour, West Bengal.
Roopa Ganguly talked about how she was beaten on the road by 16-17 people and suffered a brain haemorrhage. Roopa Ganguly took to her Twitter and revealed that a group of men including the police had apparently pulled her out of her car and ransacked it. The 16-17 people along with the police, beat her up after which she suffered from two brain haemorrhage. She ran to save her life and was later admitted in a private hospital in Kolkata.
Roopa Ganguly also urged the people to watch the older version of Mahabharat on Television for its words and dialogues.
Roopa Ganguly is also well known face for Telugu people as she made her debut in Telugu film Industry with the movie Naa Ille Naa Swargam which was released in 1992. She was also seen in Inspector Bhavani. Her popular Hindi movies are Half Serious, Golmaal, Arshinagar etc.
