Three persons have been arrested in Telangana  by the cop. The Telangana Cop also booked the fourth man for spreading fake news about deadly coronavirus on social media. 3 people including a WhatsApp group admin were arrested in Yadadri Bhongir district. According to the police official, they were spreading the false news on the social platforms by forwarding a fake pics.

One of the accused downloaded a pic of a patient lying on a hospital bed. Later he edited it and claimed that a man hailing from Telangana has died.

The police official said that the accused forwarded the fake pics, thereby creating panic among the people. They have been booked under the Epidemic Diseases Act of 1897 for spreading the false information.

Rachakonda police booked an unidentified person for allegedly spreading rumors about the coronavirus.  The person shared a message on WhatsApp and claimed that 3 persons from the area tested positive for Covid-19 and as their message went viral, police launched an inquiry and found that it was false information.

Police are sending strict warning to the people to not spread the false news and rumors on coronavirus, otherwise, they can go to jail up to one year. According to police, those who are spreading false information about coronavirus on social media and creating panic on coronavirus were liable for one year imprisonment under NDMA Act.
