Mega Prince Varun Tej has started the shoot of upcoming sport based drama, Boxer which is progressing at the brisk pace in Vizag. Varun Tej is playing the role of boxer in this film. Recently there was a strong buzz in the film industry that Baahubali fame Ramya Krishna will be seen playing the role of Varun Tej’ mother in this film. But now it is being heard that former heroine and star character artiste Nadiya has replaced Ramya Krishna.
Nadiya has been roped in Boxer to essay the role of Varun Tej’ mom. Incidentally, Nadiya had earlier worked with Varun Tej’ uncle Power Star Pawan Kalyan in Attarintiki Daredi, directed by Trivikram Srinivas in 2013.
Boxer is being directed by Kiran Korrapati, and bankrolled by Allu Venkatesh and Siddhu Mudda. Thaman is scoring the music and George C Williams is handling the cinematography.
Hollywood stunt director Larnell Stovall of Captain America and Kick Boxer fame, is on the board to choreograph the stunts for this flick Boxer. Varun Tej starrer is the maiden production venture of Sidhu Mudda and Allu Venkatesh, under the banner of Renaissance Pictures.
On the other side, Varun Tej was last seen in Gaddalakonda Ganesh, which was a remake of the hit Tamil movie Jigarthanda and directed by Karthik Subburaj.
