He has now beaten Bollywood seductive actress Sunny Leone, as the most sensational celebrity to be searched online, in Indian cyberspace. Dhoni has topped the 2019 McAfee Most Dangerous Celebrity list. The other eminent celebrities that feature in the list include cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, Bollywood actress Sunny Leone and Badminton ace PV Sindhu.
According to the McAfee Most Sensational Celebrity survey, MS Dhoni has been used by hackers to lure netizens to visit malicious websites. Former India skipper MS Dhoni has become the most dangerous celebrity searched online, one who could expose consumers to malicious websites and malware — a survey from cyber security firm McAfee revealed.
Former India cricket captain MS Dhoni’s popularity has created a big opportunity for cybercriminals to lure unsuspecting consumers to malicious websites. Bollywood actress Sunny Leone, Badshah, Sachin Tendulkar, and Shraddha Kapoor also feature in the list of top ten.
According to the cyber-security company, Sachin Tendulkar was second on the list, followed by Gautam Gulati, winner of the controversial reality Television show Bigg Boss 8.
Venkat Krishnapur, the Vice-President of Engineering and Managing Director, McAfee said in a statement that the subscription-based content platforms continue to grow in India, the netizens often look for free and pirated content such as major sports events, movies, Television shows, and images of their favorite stars. Venkat Krishnapur added, “The netizens may not be aware of the risks that malicious websites providing such content can pose in exchange for this access.”
Kabali actress Radhika Apte is on the sixth spot, Saaho girl Shraddha Kapoor seventh, ace woman cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur eighth, ace shuttler PV Sindhu ninth, and Cristiano Ronaldo at 10th.
