Telangana Chief Minister KCR laid the foundation stone for super speciality hospitals in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The three new hospitals, which will come up at Alwal, LB Nagar, and Sanathnagar, will be named Telangana Institute of Medical Science- TIMS.
The three – TIMS will be built in Gaddiannaram, Alwal, and Erragadda, for which the State government has already sanctioned Rs 2,679 Cr on 21st April. Earlier, the state cabinet had approved these new super speciality hospitals for capital city in the month of June 2021.
State government had established a Telangana Institute of Medical Science – TIMS at Gachibowli during the first wave of Coronavirus by converting a 15 storeyed sports hostel building adjoining the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium.
Each TIMS will have 1,000 beds to provide the speciality and super-speciality services. The govt also envisages offering medical education in speciality and super-specialty courses- nursing and para-medical courses at the TIMS facilities along the lines of All India Institute Of Medical Sciences.
Three Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences Superspeciality Hospitals are going to be constructed in Sanath Nagar, LB Nagar, and Alwal.
Yesterday morning, KCR participated in Bhoomi Pooja and laid the foundation stone for the construction of a hospital in LB Nagar. Later, Telangana CM also laid a foundation stone for the construction of TIMS in Sanathnagar.
