Today Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy hit back against the comments on movie ticket price that came from the film industry. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he is trying hard to help the poor people by reducing the movie ticket price but few people in the film industry are against it.
Jagan Mohan Reddy added that all those who are making comments are the real enemies of the poor.
Recently the Andhra Pradesh government headed by the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has passed the amendment bill regarding the AP Cinematography Act and mandated the prices at various towns. As per the new GO, the ticket prices at various levels – municipality, municipal corporations, City Panchayats and Gram Panchayat were released.
In municipal corporations, the maximum price of a ticket is slated at Rs 250 whereas the minimum price is at Rs. 75 in multiplexes. The maximum ticket rate at Rs 100 and the minimum at Rs. 40 for AC theaters. And in the non-AC theaters, the maximum ticket rate is Rs. 60 and the minimum is Rs. 20.
On the otherside, in reaction to a surge in Covid instances, the governments have imposed limitations, including the immediate closure of schools, colleges, theaters, and the gyms.
