On the occasion of Telangana’s Bathukamma festival TRS MLC K Kavitha and filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon Tuesday launched a special Bathukamma song ‘Allipoola Vennela’ which is composed by double Oscar award winning music composer A R Rahman. The nine day long festival is all set to start and celebrated across Telangana and the world from 6th October.
A R Rahman took to his Twitter and said: A festival of life. A celebration of togetherness. Bringing you a glimpse of the beauty of Bathukamma through “Allipoola Vennela” along with Telangana Jagruthi. The young and happening actor Vijay Deverakonda also took his twitter and revealed that his family is in the celebration mode.
Liger actor Vijay Deverakonda appreciated MLC Kavitha and said, “Special appreciation for Rao Kavitha akka, who has been passionately promoting this cultural celebration, making us and the country aware of this beautiful local festival.” He further said, “Happy Bathukamma My family is celebrating it at home, I send my best to women across the state bonding over and celebrating this beautiful festival of flowers, song and dance.”
AR Rahman composed a special Bathukamma song under the direction of Gautham Vasudev Menon and the lyrics are penned by Mittapalli Suri. And their collaboration with Kavitha-led Telangana Jagruthi has added to the festive atmosphere of Telangana.
