Konda Polam movie Review: Konda Polam is a Telugu adventurous drama which is directed by Krish, which has hit the theaters today on 8th October. Vaisshnav Tej who made his acting debut with romantic movie Uppena, is playing the lead role and the film has Rakul Preet Singh as the leading lady. Let’s see the story of Konda Polam.
Story: Kataru Ravindra Yadav (Vaisshnav Tej) is a village guy, who hails from a poor family. His father (Sai Chand) educates him by herding goats. Even after the completion of the education, he fails to get a job in Hyderabad and returns to his village. Ravindra, his father, his childhood friend Obulamma (Rakul Preet), with other villagers go into the Nallamala Forest to do Konda Polam for their cattle. This changes his life and he opts for the Civil services and he is selected as IFS officer.
Plus Points:
- Direction
- Performance
- Pre-interval fight
- BGM
- Cinematography
Minus Points:
- Screenplay
- Unnecessary commercial ingredients
- First half slow pace
Performance: Once again Vaisshnav Tej has proved that he has ability to carry the success responsibility of the movie by his terrific performance. He has done good job and pull off his character as a struggling engineering graduate who rediscovers his confidence and goes on to become an IFS officer is impressive. Rakul Preet as the village belle Obulamma looks cute on the screen. She is seen in de glam avatar in half sarees. Ravi Prakash, Sai Chand, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Hema, Mahesh Vitta and others perform accordingly.
Technical: The story of Konda Polam is interesting and impressive. The Cinematographer Gnana Sekhar VS has done superb job. He explores the picturesque and virgin locales of Vikarabad Forest and Anantagiri Hills is a superb way. The background by MM Keeravani is the main assets. BGM are also too blend with the situations. The placement of couple of love songs featuring Vaishnav Tej and Rakul Preet, looks like speed breaker. The production value of Konda Polam are superb and they did not compromise with the quality of the movie. Coming on the work of Krish, Konda Polam is loaded with many scenes that has heartwarming emotions that showcase the plight of the villagers. The scenes where Ravindra attacks the tree smugglers and rescues a lamb from the tiger are handled quite well.
Analysis: Krish does a good job of setting up the world of Konda Polam. Go and watch it.
