According to a tweet by urban development special chief secretary Arvind Kumar, on 26th September, there will be a ‘Sunday Funday’ from 5 pm to 10 pm.
For two consecutive weeks, the people were celebrating Sunday evenings as ‘Funday’ on the Tank Bund road along Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad city. It was an initiative which was launched by the state Municipal Administration and Urban Development department on the advice of MA&UD minister KTR.
Last week it was suspended on account of Ganesh idol immersions, but now it is back this Sunday. And this time, the popular event is promising a better taste of Telangana’s traditional folk arts apart from a fireworks show.
MA&UD special chief secretary Arvind Kumar on Twitter announced today that the ‘Sunday Funday’ will be back on 26th September and the highlights of the evening are Telangana State Police Band, performances of folk arts like Oggu Dolu, Gussadi and Bonalu Kolatam, and a firework show.
