Ardha Shathabdham movie review: Naveen Chandra ,Saikumar ,Karthik Rathnam , Krishna Priya, Amani starrer Ardha Shathabdham, helmed by Ravindra Pulle is now out on AHA. Let’s see the story of Ardha Shathabdham.
Story: Set in the early 2000s in the town of Sircilla, Ardha Shathabdham follows the life of local boy Krishna (Karthik Ratnam) who falls in love with Pushpa (Krishna Priya). It is one-sided love for Krishna and when he attempts to confess his love to her, a crazy incident created by Krishna gets the entire village involved. This in turn makes things worse as the caste related violence comes into the foray. What will Krishna do now? Will Pushpa accept his love? To get these answers, one should watch the movie Ardha Shathabdham.
Plus Points:
- Karthik Rathnam
- Performance
- Story
- Cinematography
Minus Points:
- First half
- Songs
- Narration
Performance: Karthik Rathnam, who plays the lead role in Ardha Shathabdham , in the role of lovestruck young man steals the heart of the movie lovers with his performance. Krishna Priya in the role of a strong and daddy’s little girl Pushpa, is fine. Naveen Chandra as Ranjith, a helpless cop not fit in this role. It is hard to understand why Naveen said yes to the role which has no importance at all. Sai Kumar as Ramanna, a former moist leader justifies with his role. Rest of the supporting cast were all authentic in their roles.
Technical: Though the story of the film Ardha Shathabdham is interesting, the execution is not up to the mark. Praja Natya Mandali meetings, Bathukamma festivals, the Maoist angle, etc are captured well to depict the culture and the lifestyle of Telangana. The BGM and cinematography work are highlighted. The production values of Ardha Shathabdham are good.
Analysis: The first half is boring and the actual story starts in the second half and the caste angle is brought. But just for the sake of convenience, caste based fights are highlighted in this film. On the whole, Ardha Shathabdham is just an average movie.
