The several ministers and departments of the Union government are flocking on Koo App — a homemade version of the social networking platform. Koo is a microblogging site, which is co-founded by entrepreneurs Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidwatka. While the Koo app was launched in early 2020, its participation and the winning of the government’s Atmanirbhar App Innovation Challenge brought it under the limelight.
The app, along with other India made apps like Zoho and Chingari, won the challenge, which was launched by Centre close on the heels of banning scores of apps with Chinese links citing the national security concerns. Now according to the latest update, Baahubali and Arundhati fame actress Anushka Shetty has debuted on Koo, the micro-blogging platform whose popularity is on the rise.
Anushka Shetty is one of the early celebrity users of the Indian version of Twitter. Nishabdham actress herself confirmed the same by sharing a post on Twitter and said, “Hope you all doing well and keeping safe. Follow me on my official Koo account for some interesting updates in the coming days for all of you.”
On the work front Anushka Shetty will be seen playing the female lead in ‘Ms Shetty Mr Polishetty’ in which she will share the screen space with Jathi Ratnalu fame actor Naveen Polishetty.
