Stylish Star Allu Arjun starrer Arya completed 17 years today. Allu Arjun is celebrating this occasion by sharing a post on social media sites and Sarrainodu star called it the entire team’s greatest milestone.
Arya starring Allu Arjun, helmed by Sukumar and produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner was released in 2004 and the movie received an overwhelming response from the critics and audience alike. Arya which had Anu Mehta as the leading lady was a commercially successful venture.
Bunny took to his twitter and said, “Feel my Love,” punning on famous track from the same movie that left the movie lovers awestruck. The action and romantic drama revolves around Arya with a rebellious streak who falls in love with an introvert girl Geetha already in love with Ajay. The movie won four Nandi Awards and Filmfare Award for Best Director among several others. It was made on a budget of Rs 4 crore and it earned around Rs 30 crore worldwide.
Though Allu Arjun was not the first choice of Arya, initially Sukumar wanted to rope in Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, Nithiin and Prabhas as the male lead, but due to their busy schedules, the thing did not materialize and the role fell in the lap of Bunny.
