Bollywood actress Padmini Kolhapure started acting in 1972 at the age of 7, and her early works included Zindagi and Dream Girl. Later she had her breakthrough with the film Satyam Shivam Sundaram, starring as Young Roopa, which was released in 1978. Recently Padmini Kolhapure expressed her desire to act with Young Rebel Star Prabhas.
Padmini Kolhapure revealed that she is waiting to act with Prabhas in a Straight Telugu film. The former Bollywood heroine also revealed her wish to share screen space with the versatile actor Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth and Mohanlal.
At the age of fifteen, Padmini Kolhapure won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the revenge drama Insaf Ka Tarazu, which was released in 1980 and at the age of seventeen, the actress won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the tragic romance Prem Rog. She was also nominated for the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in the romantic movie Soutan.
On the work front, Padmini Kolhapure was last seen in a Marathi movie Prawaas, directed by Shashank Udapurkar, produced under banner of Om Chhangani Films and the film also had Shashank Udapurkar, Ashok Saraf, Vikram Gokhale and Rajit Kapur.
