It is known news that Anushka Shetty starrer Bhaagmathie is being remade in Hindi. Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar has been roped to play the main lead role. Today the makers unveiled the first look poster of Bhaagamathie remake which is titled Durgamati.
Coming on the first look poster of Durgamati, Bhumi Pednekar is seen in a never-seen before look. She is seen staring at the camera intensely. The movie Durgamati is slated to release on 11th December on the streaming giant Amazon Prime Video.
Apart from Bhumi Pednekar , the film Durgamati also has Arshad Warsi and Karan Kapadia. Earlier during an interview, Bhumi had said about her role in this film, ” It is going to take me in horror space. It is the most challenging and special film for me, as this is the first time, the responsibility will be on my shoulders.”
Durgamati is being helmed by Ashok who directed the Telugu version also and the upcoming film marks his Bollywood debut. It is bankrolled by Akshay Kumar.
Durgamati is all about the story of an IAS officer, essayed by Bhumi Pednekar, who is made the victim of a major conspiracy involving the powerful forces. She is imprisoned in a haunted house while being interrogated in the corruption case.
