Anasuya:  Don’t know how to be neutral and politically correct

Hyderabad born Anasuya Bharadwaj is one among the few female anchors in the Indian TV industry to make it big on the silver screen. Over the past few years, Anasuya became a household name in the Telugu states with her glamorous, energetic and convincing stint as a Television host-cum-actress. She has certainly broken the stereotypes when it comes to a married woman with kids succeeding in the showbiz world without any celebrity background.

Besides her ravishing presence on the celluloid, the bold actress never minces her words when it comes to expressing honest opinions on social issues. Recently Anasuya Bharadwaj attended Ali’ talk show and opened up about a few interesting details about her personal life.

Anasuya revealed that her mother was keen to name her as Pavitra, but her father chose to name her Anasuya. Rangasthalam actress added, “I was the first girl to be born on my father’s side. So, my dad chose to name her after his mother. That’s how I got my name Anasuya.”

When Ali asked Anasuya why she always gets into trouble for sharing her opinion on Twitter, to which the anchor turned actress replied, “In the initial years when I joined the social media sites, I didn’t know how to be neutral and politically correct. So I have, a section of people would keep trolling me. But now I am able to handle it.”
