The controversial king Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV took to his Twitter to post a pic of himself, where he is seen lighting a cigarette at a time when the people of India shared photographs of themselves lighting candles.
It is known news that Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked Indian to switch off the lights at home and lit the candles and diyas at 9 pm for 9 minutes on 5th April to show the unity against the novel coronavirus. Instead of lighting diya or candle, Ram Gopal Varma lit a cigarette. Along with a photograph and video, RGV wrote the caption, “Not following Coronavirus warnings. It is more dangerous than not following government warnings on cigarette smoking.” Now Ram Gopal Varma is being trolled on social media sites by the netizens.
On the otherside, several celebrities including Nagarjuna, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Mohanlal have shared pics and videos of themselves lighting up candles.
On April 1st, Ram Gopal Varma also took to his Twitter and stated that he has been tested +ive for COVID-19. Later, he informed that his doctor played an April Fool’s prank on him and that he does not have Coronavirus. RGV also apologized after the public slammed him for creating unnecessary panic.
