It has been officially confirmed that Power Star Pawan Kalyan will act in Telugu movie, the remake of Hindi movie Pink in which Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu played the lead roles. The trade analyst Taran Adarsh has confirmed this news that after remaking Pink in Tamil, now Boney Kapoor has joined hands with Telugu producer Dil Raju to remake Pink in Telugu. And the upcoming Telugu remake of Pink starring Pawan Kalyan will be helmed by Sriram Venu.

Sriram Venu, who was recently signed to helmed a movie Icon for Allu Arjun, is going to direct this Pink remake PSPK 26 in which Pawan Kalyan will play the lead role and will reprise the role of Amitabh Bachchan.

The sources close to the film unit revealed that Similar to the Tamil version, Nerkonda Paarvai, the Telugu remake of Pink will have a fine balance between the social message and the commercial elements.

Pawan Kalyan has already given a 20-day call sheet and the regular shoot is expected to commence later this year.

The Telugu version of Pink is likely to have dialogues by Trivikram Srinivas, who is very close to Pawan Kalyan. Earlier, it was heard that Nandamuri Balakrishna would star in Pink Telugu remake but these now seem only rumors. Finally, Pawan Kalyan is on the board to act in Pink remake, which will be jointly bankrolled by Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor.

Thala Ajith starrer Tamil version of Pink was released earlier this year, which was directed by H Vinoth. The movie was turned out blockbuster at the box-office and earned over Rs 150 crore.

Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Bollywood movie Pink won the Best Film on Social Issues at the 64th National Film Awards.

Pawan Kalyan was last seen in Trivikram Srinivas’ directorial venture Agnyaathavaasi, which was released on the occasion of Sankranthi 2018 but was ended up a dud at the box office.
