Surprised! Ram Gopal Varma obeying someone’s orders

RGV aka Ram Gopal Varma who was planning to release his directorial venture Lakshmi’s NTR today on 1st May in Andhra Pradesh, has received shock from the Election Commission. Now Lakshmi’s NTR is not going to be released on 1st May in Andhra Pradesh. According to the latest update, the release of Lakshmi’ NTR in AP has been postponed once again as the Election Commission directed the filmmaker not to release the film reiterating its 10th April order not to screen it and another movie until further orders. One of Ram Gopal Varma’ fan named Deccan Lad‏ wrote on Twitter, “ I am surprised to see RGV obeying someone’s orders. I thought he lives on his own terms!!”

The Andhra Pradesh CEO Gopal Krishna Dwivedi asked Ram Gopal Varma, in reply to the latter, that the movie should not be released till the model code of conduct was in force.

On 10th April the EC had ordered the producers of ”Lakshmi’s NTR” and ”Udyama Simham”, the two biopics based on the lives of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N T Rama Rao and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) respectively, not to release the movies till further orders.

Earlier the Election Commission (EC) also stalled the release of Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s biopic, asserting that any biopic material with the potential to disturb the level playing field timing the elections should not be screened.

Finally Ram Gopal Varma’ ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ will not be released in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. Yesterday RGV wrote on his Twitter and confirmed the same, “For all those who are speculating how we are releasing Lakshmis NTR ,please read these excerpts from the Honourable AP high court order.” On the other side, Lakshmi’s NTR has been already released in Telangana.
