Directed by Mahi V Raghav, Yatra is based on a particular chapter from the life of late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy. According to the traders report, Yatra has collected Rs 8.81 Cr shares at the worldwide box office in its full run

Malayalam Megastar Mammootty played the role of iconic politician YSR in Yatra. Jagapati Babu, Suhasini Maniratnam, Ashrita Vemuganti and Rao Ramesh were seen in supporting roles. Yatra was released on 8th February and received mixed response at the box office.

YSR took padayatra in 2003. It is one of the milestone events of AP politics, which enabled YS Rajasekhar Reddy to win the general and assembly election that happened in 2004.
