Midnight turn: Raashi Khanna replaces Rakul Preet Singh

It is known news that Delhi belly Rakul Preet Singh was on the board to play the female lead in upcoming multistarrer Venky Mama in which Venkatesh Daggubati and Akkineni Naga Chaitanya will play the lead role. Earlier it was heard that Kannada beauty Nabha Natesh has replaced Rakul Preet Singh but now according to the latest update, not Nabha Natesh but Rasshi  Khanna has replaced Rakul Preet Singh in Venky Mama. The things has taken a turn overnight. The sources close to the film unit reveal that  the filmmakers even did a look test at a private studio on Wednesday morning. They were very impressed with Nabha Natesh’s look and she was almost finalize the deal but it was Raashi Khanna who put the pressure on her manager to get this project.

At about midnight, after a long discussion, the makers of Venky Mama finally confirmed Raashi Khanna. Now Raashi Khanna will be seen playing the love interest of Akkineni Naga Chaitanya in Venky Mama. Rasshi Khanna has replaced  Rakul Preet Singh in this upcoming multistarrer which will be directed by KS Ravindra alias Bobby and produced by Suresh Babu along with People Media Factory. The regular shoot is expected to commence from 24th of this month.

 Earlier  Raashi Khanna has worked with Akkineni Naga Chaitanya in Akkineni family drama Manam which was released in 2014. She played the cameo.The actress has been the part of several hit movies like Bengal Tiger, Tholi Prema and Jai Lava Kusa. She was last seen in  Nithiin starrer Srinivasa Kalyanam, which was ended up commercially flop at the box office.

 On the other side, it is heard that Rakul Preet Singh will be seen shaking leg for an item song in Natural Star Nani starrer upcoming film, which will be helmed by Vikram Kumar of Manam, 24 and hello fame.
