Jersey is being bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments. Anirudh Ravichander, who scored music for Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyathavasi, is rendering the tune. Nani will be seen as a cricket player in this this sport based drama that has 1990s backdrop.
The sources say that the timeline of Jersey will begin in the year 1986 and end in 1996. What happens during this decade forms the crux of the movie’s plot.
On the film Jersey, its director Gowtam Tinnanuri said in an inetrview “It is a story about a late bloomer who realizes his talent at a certain age and pursues his dream to join the Indian cricket team. Jersey is a period sports drama and the story takes place between 1986 and 1996. With his universal appeal, Naturl Star Nani can take this story far and wide. I also really like him as an actor.”
Sharddha Srinath will be seen playing the love interest of Nani in Jersey.
Nani’s previous offerings Krishnarjuna Yuddham and Devadas were bombed at the box office. This time he is planning to deliver a hit movie in the form of Jersey.
